LIFE IN TAMILNADU PART
-1
After spent 2days in
home I came to Tamil Nadu to start my work. When I was in train from Nagpur to
Chennai, one guy named Sridhar from Tamil Nadu knows Hindi, he help to get the
bus stop Koyembedu which is central bus stop in Chennai from where you can get
bus to anywhere long distance and short distance. That bus stop is quite big I never saw bus
stop like this. After Sridhar left it
was difficult to communicate with people. In the bus I was quite mum whole
7hours and listened music. I tried to speak with guy seated next to me but he
did not understand English and Hindi. When I reached Chidambaram bus stop my
company people came to receive me. I thought might be they are mechanic or some
other staff but they were sr. manager, sr. engineer. And some other head. In the end I reached my accommodation which
is nice. Next day I went to market to buy some stuff but it was difficult to
communicate with them. For example I asked for chana (chickpeas ) in shop, he
came with chalk box then I explain them about 15 min the shape, color somehow
in the end he understood J. Another eg. We(my roommate) ask to buy 2 hangers for cloth to our maid
she bought and told the price in tamil and when we did not understand she said
its 400rs each instead 40 we both got shock

In 1st dec
I went to my working site. I felt very bored, no work just observe the things
which were going on. After couple of
days I got work to observe the things and instruct the worker. When I tried to
instruct the local worker they did not understand anything. So most of the time
I used sign languageJ. Sometimes I said something and workers did something different. I felt
I am on different planet or another country nobody understand Hindi which is
national language of India. I feel Maharashtra is really very good state where
all peoples from different state and country can live. At least all Marathi
people understand and speak Hindi. Sometimes it irritates me when I heard Tamil
everywhere and I did not understand anything. But I have no option. I want to
learn tamil but as I am here only for 3months I don’t feel it’s necessary to
learn.
Now I start to take
interest in my job. And result of that I have to do night duty alone to handle
all operations on site which were going on. My seniors are good and friendly. Not much work load just learning things J will come with 2nd part soon
